Christmas Star Wall Decor DIY
Today I wanted to share this super fun star wall I’ve created in my kitchen ready for the festive season! It really lifts this boring corner of the kitchen up at this time of year and will help make Christmassy breakfasts feel so much more festive.
They’re super simple to create so I’ll list out what you’ll need and instructions below!
What you’ll need:
Cardboard star shapes (I used 5 of these stars from Self Packaging to make all mine) *gifted
Mod Podge / Glue
Gold Acrylic Paint
Black Acrylic Paint
Combination of gold, silver, bronze and black glitters
Command Strips
Hot glue gun
Method:
Using a front and an inner piece of one of the stars, twist them to create the shape
Use a hot glue gun to secure together
Paint the front of the star with your chosen background colour and wait to dry
Cover generously with Mod Podge (or another type of glue!)
Sprinkle enough glitter to cover your star, using a variety of colours and sizes to create texture and variety
Allow time to fully dry (I left mine 24 hours)
Use command strips to attach to the wall
Hope you enjoy making these! They really do add so much fun to any room.
